Make an American Girl Doll First Aid Kit

Hi! Today I’m going to show you how to make an American Girl Doll first aid kit, complete with band-aids, alcohol wipes, and Neosporin. I made this in girl size with my AHG Troop for our Hiking badge, and now I’ve brought it down to doll size!

Take a Ziploc sandwich bag and cut it in half vertically.

Then cut that in half horizontally so you have a doll sized bag. (Save the scraps.)

Two of the sides will be open, so take a piece of Duck-tape and press half of it to one side, and then fold it over to the other.

See? Now you’ve closed that side. Do the same on the bottom.

Now it should look like this.

Cover the whole bag in Duck-tape. Take a piece of paper and write “First aid kit” on it. Draw a red cross on it. Then tape it to the front of the Duck-tape bag. (See picture at top.)

Now we’ll make the Neosporin. Take a straw (I used green, but any color will work) and cut a piece an inch long.

Put hot-glue in each end and squeeze it shut.

Make two of these.

Next we’ll make the band-aids. Cut a piece of white or tan Fun Foam about a centimeter long.

Cut a piece of Ziploc bag an inch long and slightly wider then the white piece of foam.

Hot-glue the foam right in to middle of the piece of bag. Make four of these.

Last is the alcohol wipes. Cut a piece of paper 1in. by 2in.

Fold it in half and write “Alcohol Wipes” on one side.

Use Rubber Cement (or tape) to glue down the paper. Before you do that, take a tiny piece of cotton and put it in the middle of the glue/tape.

Draw two blue lines under the words to make it look like a brand.

And now your dolls have their own first aid kit!
