On November 19th, I bought Ever After High C. A. Cupid! I got her for only $7. 50 because she was at a discount store. :) You can’t get a deal much better than that!
Let’s get started with the review!
Here is an overview of the doll and her accessories.
She comes with a bronze bow and arrow. (It looks golden in the picture, but it’s really bronze.) On the tip of the arrow is a heart.
On the back of the bow is a sort of handle thing that the doll’s hand fits into so she can hold the bow. Although the handle is necessary for Cupid to hold it, her hand easily slips out of it.
C. A. Cupid comes with a quiver that is the same bronze color as her bow. There is a large pink heart on it, and a black strap that slips over her arm.
There are swirly designs engraved on the quiver.
The feathered ends of the arrows stick up over the top of the quiver. They don’t come out.
She comes with quite a bit of jewelry, including her ring. The ring is made of black plastic and can come off her hand. It looks like one of her arrows, feathered on one end, a heart on the other.
She has a gold bracelet that looks like a bunch of leaves. In order to take this off, you need to pull her hand off. Ever After High dolls are designed this way, and the hand will go back on easily, so don’t worry if her hand pops off while you’re playing with her.
Cupid’s earrings are black hearts. They have tiny dots all over them, and the earring are removable.
Moving on to her wings.
They are plastic, and the color is a mix of white and bronze. Cupid’s wings are designed like a necklace, and are easy to take on and off.
This is the necklace part I was telling you about. Like her ring, it resembles one of her arrows.
The back of her wings are completely white.
Her belt is gold and leafy on one side.
The other side is black plastic made to look like rope.
Her headband is gold, with a hot pink heart and arrow mounted on one side.
She has awesome shoes. Gold high heels, with little wings at the top. The heel part looks like the end of an arrow.
Cupid has black mesh leggings. They look like they should tear easily, but in the five days that I’ve had (and played with) C. A. Cupid, they’ve remained in perfect condition.
The bottom of her dress in edged in black lace that looks like tiny flowers.
Sparkly light pink tulle covers the front of her dress.
Her satiny pink and white skirt is described as having a “cloud pattern.” The fabric has shiny pink arrows on it.
The dress is a V-neck, and the fabric that makes up the sleeveless top is covered in pink tulle.
There are silver-dotted flaps of fabric that cover her shoulders.
And now we will progress onto her face. :)
Cupid has pale skin, and there is just a hint of pink in her cheeks.
She has really pretty blue eyes with a teeny white heart in the pupils. She has pink eye shadow.
Her lips are a shimmery pink with a darker pink heart in the middle.
As you can see, she has large pink bangs. When I took her out of the package, her bangs were really gelled up to help maintain the shape.
Cupid’s hair reaches down to her hips. The ends of her hair are sort of dry and messy, but washing her hair with shampoo and lukewarm water sould help a bit.
Her hair has many different shades of pink in it.
Like all of the other Ever After High dolls from the original line, C. A. Cupid comes with a plastic hair brush in the shape of a key.
She also comes with a doll stand.
The base of the stand says “Ever After High” on it.
That sums up my review of Cupid! I give her 4.5 out of five stars. While she’s a gorgeous doll, the ends of her hair and the bow were lacking. Nevertheless, I do recommend her!
