You will need:
- Tissue paper
- Glue
- Glitter
- Hot glue gun
- Pipecleaner
- Five pipecleaners of the same color
- Scissors (not shown)
Out of the four like-colored pipecleaners, take one and bend it into the shape above. Twist the ends together.
Lay the pipecleaner on the tissue paper and cut around it. Make sure to leave some room around the pipecleaner.
Put glue onto the pipecleaner and press the tissue paper into it. Once it’s cooled, trim off any access paper.
Repeat these directions to create another wing in the same shape.
Take a new pipecleaner and bend it into a circle. Cut a tissue paper circle and glue them together. Make another circular wing.
All four sections of the wings are done. Now we have to attach them.
Take the fifth colored pipecleaner and cut it into thirds. You can discard two of them, because we only need one section. Bend it over and glue the ends to the circular wings. Go ahead and glue the wings together, too, where you connected them to the pipecleaner.
Find the twisted parts of the first two wings you made and glue them to the bent over pipecleaner.
You should have one pipecleaner left. Find the middle of it and glue that to the bent pipecleaner.
Draw a design on the wings with glue (swirls look nice).
Sprinkle the glue with glitter. Once it’s dry, it will look very nice! To speed up the drying process, blow hot air on the wings with a hairdryer.
When everything is dry, situate the wings on the doll’s back. Remember the pipecleaner whose middle we glued to the wings? Wrap it around the doll’s waist and twist the ends together.
Now your doll has sparkly fairy wings!
Next, I’ll be showing you how to make a wand.
You will need:
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Ribbons
- Foam
- Skewer
Trim the skewer to the desired length.
Cut a star out of the foam and glue it to the end of the skewer.
Glue some ribbons to the back of the star.
Now . . . some photos. :)
