The AG Q&A Tag

Bella from Doll Habit nominated me for The AG Q&A tag. Thanks, dear.

(She actually tagged me a long time ago, but it looks fun, so I’m doing it anyway.)

Rules:

– Create your own AG Q&A Tag button. If you don’t know how, you can skip this step.
– Thank and give a link to the blog of the person that nominated you.
– Nominate 3-5 other AG doll bloggers.
– Come up with at least five questions for the dolls that you nominate. You can include your questions on your post, or send them to your nominees.
– Do not ask any personal or inappropriate questions.
– Have your doll that was nominated answer the questions given.
– List these rules on your blog post.
– Notify the people/dolls that you nominate and send them a link to your post.

Bella wanted Ivy to answer the questions. Here we go. :)

Which of your sisters do you get along with best, and why?

I get along best with Savannah. We have similar senses of humor and are always pushing each other to do our best. Plus, she likes being in front of the camera and will model for me if I ask.

Do you have any pets?

I do not, and I’m ok with that. I like playing with animals and photographing them, but actually taking care of one? No thanks.

What’s your favorite food?

Lo mein noodles. Seriously, have you tried those? I like making loud slurping noises when I eat them because it gets on Caroline’s nerves.

What is your favorite holiday?

Halloween is the best, of course. Creepy decorations, free candy, horror movies, costumes, and did I mention the free candy?

Last year, I dressed up as a ceiling fan. Yes, I’m aware that I’m a genius.

What is your favorite season?

Summer. Not because of all the free time and sunshine, but because I get to watch the gymnasts kick butt in the Summer Olympics.

I tag:

Samantha’s doll Magnolia

Julia’s doll Forest

Natalie’s doll Adi

I’m not very original, so you can just answer the same questions I did.

By the way, I’ve got something fun planned for Christmas! Make sure to visit my blog on the 25th for the special. :)

Comparison: Ivy Ling x Truly Me #40

Comparison: Ivy Ling and Truly Me #40 | Happy House of AG

Hello, my friends! Here’s the promised comparison of Ivy and Parker (Truly Me #40).

Comparison: Ivy Ling and Truly Me #40 | Happy House of AG

American Girl’s Asian dolls all look pretty similar, and it’s a bit of a shame. Give some of them freckles or side bangs or a different eyebrow shape — just something to make them stand out from each other. Anyway, in this post, I’ll be pointing out the differences between my two lovely Asian AGs.

American Girl Jess face mold | Happy House of AG

They both have the Jess face mold, and feathered eyebrows. I feel like Ivy’s skin has a more yellow tone to it than #40’s.

Ivy’s eyes are slightly different from #40’s. Her eyes are decal brown (#40 has the regular brown), and there’s some light brown around them.

They both have dark hair, but Ivy’s is black, and #40’s is brown. Ivy’s hair is parted down the middle, while #40’s is parted on the left side.

Ivy has shoulder-length hair. #40’s goes about an inch and a half past the shoulders.

Styling Ivy’s hair can be quite difficult. It’s too short to do much with, except for pigtails. #40’s hair is long enough to do most hairstyles, although i think a bun would be difficult (but possible).

Since Ivy was retired in 2014 (before the awful zip ties were reintroduced), she has neck strings.

I got #40 in January, 2017, so she has a zip tie. Her head moves pretty easily, though.

And, of course, the main difference between them is that Ivy has bangs.

They’re both beautiful dolls, and I wouldn’t really recommend one over the other. You can do more with #40’s hair, though. And she would be easier to purchase, since, unlike Ivy, American Girl is still selling her.

Which do you like better: Ivy Ling, or Truly Me #40?

Christmas Eve

I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve already! I also can’t believe that I didn’t ask for any American Girl stuff this year. I’m just happy with my collection at the moment. The only dolls I’d really like to buy are Felicity and #64.

Anyway, I took some pictures of Ivy by the Christmas tree. Enjoy. :)

It seemed like a cool title. I mean, Ivy’s got the tank top, popsicle, and dusky light going on for her, and I guess those are sort of summer vibe-like.

I think I might have a bit of an obsession with that popsicle . . . it’s just so cute and I like the way it feels in my hand. :)

Ivy’s outfit is one of my favorites. I love how cute and summery it is!

The last week of Camp Dolliwatha starts tomorrow! The fabulous Rutvi from Buzz About AG is hosting, and her theme is Fairytale. Make sure to check out her posts and send in pictures!

P.S. Shout-out to the girls at AG Sparkle Sisters! They’re new to this crazy adventure called blogging, but they’ve got a nice site up already. Go check it out! I’m sure they would appreciate a comment and a follow. ;)

OOTD: Ivy’s Real Pretty, Y’all

Titles are most definitely my strong point.

DFA: Off to the Park! With . . .

Hello, hello! I’m here with another Dragged From the Archives post. This one was originally posted in July 2014, a few days after Ivy arrived. Enjoy! :)

Off to the Park! With . . .

Yep, you guessed it. Me, Ivy! Haha, sick of me writing yet? Well, too bad! As the title states, I went to the park!

DSC_0182

It was so stinkin’ hot! I played on a  little playground, probably designed for dolls! There were monkey bars, which I’m totally rocking in this picture . . .

DSC_0183

. . . This swirly thing . . . Wee!

DSC_0184

DSC_0185

There was also this zig-zaggy slide!

DSC_0186

The theater! Aren’t I sooooo dramatic? Oh, and the playground behind me? That’s the one I was just playing on!

DSC_0187

And now I’m at the little ice cream shop! What flavor would you like? Chocolate? Certainly! Coming right up!

DSC_0188

Haha, now I’m dancing. XD

DSC_0189

So now I’m just sitting out in the sun, letting my skin/vinyl melt, and wishing there was sunblock for dolls.

And then this is a random photo that Loren took.

While we were at the park, we saw . . .

BABY DUCKIES!! Aren’t they cute?!

Love,

~Ivy~
