Mini Monsters in the Attic

DSC_0106

MJ and Savannah were admiring a snowmobile when they heard laughter, followed by a crash, above their heads.

DSC_0107

MJ looked up at the ceiling, then said, “You heard that?”

DSC_0108

Savannah nodded. She moved a wet rag across the windshield on the snowmobile. “She’s a real beauty,” she said under her breath.

DSC_0109

Just then, Saige and Isabelle ran up to them.

DSC_0110

When they got to the other girls, Saige asked, “Did you guys hear that?”

MJ nodded, and Savannah continued to wipe dust off the machine.

“We think it came from upstairs,” Izzy told them.

DSC_0111

Ana and Mary-Jane left their new-found joy, the snowmobile, and followed Saige and Izzy up the dark stairs to the attic.

DSC_0112

When they opened the door and entered the frigid upstairs, they saw to flashes of color whiz by, and then a crash! followed by hysterical giggling.

DSC_0113

The quartet of girls hurried over to a barricade of pillows, where the mini doll Rebecca and her Barbie friend, Kelsie, lay dazed.

DSC_0114

“Hi-i-i . . .” Rebecca waved at the girls, swaying back and forth. Then she spotted Savannah and snapped out of her dizziness. “You again.” She glared.

DSC_0115

“You,” Savannah growled through clenched teeth. (If you don’t remember or haven’t read Mini Dolls VS Savannah, or Mini Rebecca Rubin the First’s Awesome Prank, or whatever it’s called, I suggest you read it *here*. You would not be best friends with a bratty little mini doll after she drew a purple mustache on your face, either.)

DSC_0116

“What were you doing?!” Izzy exclaimed, rushing over and helping  Kelsie up while Savannah’s eye twitched in annoyance.

DSC_0117

“Just having the most fun EVER!” Rebecca replied, standing up. “C’mon, Kelsie, let’s show ’em!”

DSC_0118

The mini dolls gave their little cars a push, jumped on, and zoomed across the floor between Savannah and Saige.

DSC_0119

After they failed to convince Rebecca and her sidekick that riding the cars was dangerous, the 18″ girls explored the attic.

“Hey, look at that!” Izzy said, pointing. “It’s the Camp Doll Diaries Bus. (I wonder what it’s doing here). I remember the day we got to camp. You were so upset that you had to share a bunk with me!”

DSC_0120

Saige grinned. “Yeah, but now you are, like, my best friend.”

DSC_0121

In another part of the attic, MJ had just plopped a navy chef’s hat with polka-dots  on her head. “Ta daa!”

DSC_0122

Savannah looked up from a laptop thingy. Giggling, she replied, “Looks great.”

DSC_0123

They found a stack of Loren’s old clothes, laughing at each other from under their too-big hat and skirt.

DSC_0124

Kelsie had just hurt her foot a little bit, and Rebecca was kissing it noisily, trying to make it better. She wrapped a blanket around her friend, afraid she had gone into shock.

DSC_0125

Since the cars weren’t being used at the moment, the big dolls gathered around to look at them.

“Are those Pinewood Derby Cars?” MJ asked.

DSC_0126

“Um, duh!” Rebecca shouted at them. “What did you think they were, painted blocks of wood with wheels stuck on?”

DSC_0127

MJ rolled her eyes. “Very helpful, Becca.”

DSC_0128

When she turned her attention back to the cars, she saw Savannah, with one foot on each, roller skating!

“Hey!” MJ exclaimed, eyes wide.

DSC_0129

Startled, Savannah lost her balance and crashed to the floor.

“Ugh,” she moaned.

DSC_0130

She sat up on her elbows, and spotted something written on one of the cars — RIPTIDE.

“Riptide?” she muttered, squinting to make sure she’d read it right.

DSC_0131

“Riptide?” MJ echoed. “Where?!”

DSC_0132

Ana pointed at one of the cars, then fell back on the floor with a grunt.

DSC_0133

MJ reached down and grabbed the car with the sword on it. To her surprise, it came off the base!

DSC_0134

Isabelle leaned in to look at something engraved on the handle.

DSC_0135

“Anaklusmos?”

DSC_0136

“Anaklusmos? Like, Greek for Riptide? You mean this is Percy Jackson’s sword?!”

DSC_0137

“Well, it can’t really be Percy Jackson’s sword, because it always returns to his pocket, right?” Savannah stated logically.

DSC_0138

“I guess, but it looks so cool,” MJ said, disappointed. Then she perked up and exclaimed, “Let’s see if it can hurt people!”

DSC_0139

MJ pointed the sword at Savannah. “Hold still . . .”

DSC_0140

“Hey, hey, watch it, lady!” Savannah shouted, taking a step back and tripping over the car that had held the sword.

DSC_0141

“Oh, sorry,” MJ apologized. She then pricked her finger on the tip of the sword and yelped.

DSC_0142

As MJ sucked on her finger, she watched as Savannah stood on the car that said ‘Riptide’ and skated around the attic. Soon, the four girls were taking turns skateboarding.

DSC_0143

 Riptide lay forgotten on the floor, not really collecting dust for the next two hours . . .

Hey guys =) Hope you liked the photostory! It was fun to write.

As I was dressing my dolls for the shoot, I was humming a Minecraft song in my head. With my overactive imagination, I’m constantly getting ideas for new stories. So, yeah, I got an idea for a new photostory series 🙂

DSC_0145

If I do it, it’ll be called “Take Back the Night.” The characters, from left to right, are:

Jade, Cass, Kristina, and Hailey.

I’m not saying that I will do this series. Just making that clear, since I haven’t even finished The BFF Wars. YET!

Okey dokey, I think that sums it up.

The First Adventure of Mini Rebecca Rubin the First and Kelsie the Sidekick!

Hey! It’s Mini Rebecca Rubin the First here! Tracy (my owner) told me to say this . . .

Inspiration for this post goes to Madison over at Delightful World of Dolls. And, Wednesday is coming up soon (don’t know what this has to do with anything), so if you wanna send in a pic for What’s Up Wednesday, go to the “Get Featured & What’s Up Wednesday” page, found under the header of this blog with all the other pages. The theme (which is optional) for this week is Valentine’s Day. If you do send in a picture, please make sure to include a caption.

Alright . . . I think that covers everything . . . ONWARD!!

DSC_0531

“Let’s go to the beach!” I suggested to my Barbie friend, Kelsie.

DSC_0532

“That’s a great idea!” she replied, throwing her hands up in the air. “Let’s go right now!”

DSC_0533

I dug through my clothing bag, looking for something to wear to the beach while Kelsie gathered up a beach ball and towels.

DSC_0534

After I’d changed into my bathing suit in Tracy’s room, Kelsie sat down on my clothing bag and I did her hair.

DSC_0535

I did what Kelsie and I call a “French Crown,” though it’s really more of a braided headband.

DSC_0536

Then I picked up the beach ball, Kelsie held the towels, and we headed downstairs to escape the house and go to the beach!

DSC_0537

We tiptoed past Boo, the puppy Molly was taking care of for a few months, while he ate. We couldn’t let him see us, or else he would chase us all over the place and drip slobber on our clothes!

DSC_0627

Once we were past the dog, Kelsie and I dove into a pile of blankets and pillows and waited for someone to open the front door so we could sneak out to the beach.

DSC_0628

After a few minutes of waiting, Savannah Kingsley, the new girl, came in the door.

DSC_0629

We grabbed our stuff and made a run for it.

DSC_0630

Inches away from freedom, Savannah slammed the door shut on us.

DSC_0631

Momentum carried us on, and we face-planted into the door.

“NO!” I groaned. “We were SO close!”

DSC_0632

The giant dolly screamed when I spoke, and jumped up on the couch.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! IT’S TALKING! IT’S ALIVE! HELP ME, SOMEBODY, PLEASE!!”

Ivy’s voice floated down the stairs to her. “It’s OK, Savannah; that’s just the mini doll Rebecca and her friend Kelsie.”

DSC_0633

I scrambled up on the couch to make peace with the 18 ” invader — and her M&Ms =)

DSC_0634

But then she kicked me! She really, actually, KICKED me!

DSC_0635

Moaning, I sat up where I had landed. “What was THAT for?!” I screamed at Miss Kingsley.

DSC_0636

“Ew-w-w . . . it’s alive . . . and it talks . . . and it moves . . .” she whimpered, pressing her face up against a wall.

DSC_0637

“We’re going to the beach,” Kelsie said to the creature. “Would you be so kind as to open the door for us? We really must be on our way.”

DSC_0638

Savannah cautiously lowered herself onto the couch. “Um, no, I’m not going to open the door for you!” she exclaimed. “There’s several reasons why . . .

DSC_0639

One, it’s raining.” We glanced out the window and saw, *sigh*, that it was raining.

DSC_0640

“Two, you’re only about six inches tall. No way would you survive out there.” She jerked her head at the door. “Third, it’s February, cold, and, like I said before, it’s RAINING. And top all that off, WE DON’T LIVE NEAR A BEACH!!”

DSC_0641

With one big sigh of defeat, Kelsie and I slumped on a blanket by the monster’s huge feet.

DSC_0642

She pulled her feet up onto the couch — so we couldn’t tickle them, I thought.

DSC_0643

After a minute of silence, Savannah suggested, “You could go camping.”

DSC_0644

“Camping!” Kelsie repeated, perking up. “Let’s go camping, Becca! It’s better than nothing, right?” She grabbed my hand and towed me up the stairs to find some camping attire and supplies.

DSC_0645

Later, we were all decked out for outdoor survival, with our gear in my empty clothing bag.

DSC_0646

I marched toward the door, Kelsie pushing the bag after me.

DSC_0647

“OK, Savannah,” I said, snapping my fingers. “Open sesame!”

DSC_0648

“Please?” Kelsie added. She stopped pushing the bag for a second to catch her breathe.

Glancing over my shoulder, I shouted,” Heave ho, Kelsie! The wild blue yonder awaits!”

DSC_0649

Savannah jumped in front of the door, blocking our way. “You’ll be camping inside,” she said forcefully.

INSIDE?!” I squealed, outraged.

DSC_0650

I dove through the space in between Savannah’s legs. “We must escape!”

DSC_0651

Savannah reached down and picked me up with her fingertips.

“Let me GO!” I demanded, thumping my fists on her hand. “Unhand me, foul beast!”

DSC_0652

Inside,” Savannah repeated, putting me down next to Kelsie, who was unzipping the bag of supplies.

DSC_0653

“Come on, trooper!” she called over her shoulder as she walked back to the couch. “We’ll make this fun!”

DSC_0654

Soon, Kelsie and I had set up our tents and the fire place (which may or may not be a quarter).

DSC_0655

Then we began to unroll our sleeping bags.

DSC_0656

“I’m hungry,” Kelsie complained as she fluffed up her pillow.

DSC_0658

“I’m hungry,” I echoed.

DSC_0659

“We’re HUNGRY!” we exclaimed together.

DSC_0660

Savannah sat on a blanket on the floor next to us and passed us a container of M&Ms.

DSC_0661

We rushed forward for the chocolate. Kelsie popped the lid off and stuck her head into the jar. I tugged on her legs, trying to pull her out.

DSC_0662

Savannah unwrapped a bar of dark chocolate and licked it, watching us in obvious amusement. She finally helped me get Kelsie out of the M&Ms jar when she started drooling on the chocolates.

DSC_0663

Soon after, Savannah drifted off to sleep with a notebook lying on her chest, and a half-eaten chocolate bar stuck in her hair.

DSC_0664

And that’s when our fun started >:) We found Savannah’s laptop and watched scary movies on Netflix.

DSC_0665

We dragged a pillow over to the couch and skydived onto it.

DSC_0666

We even drew on Savannah’s face >:) She would wake up with one giant green eyebrow and a purple mustache. What we didn’t know was how much trouble we’d be in once she woke up . . .

DSC_0667

Finally, we settled into our sleeping bags.

DSC_0668

“This was really fun,” Kelsie whispered to me. “Can we do it again some time?”

DSC_0669

“OK, sure,” I said, nodding. “I guess it was pretty fun.”

DSC_0670

As the fire flickered out, we drifted off into the land of dreams . . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve got a few announcements to make.
First of all, the Dear Dollies video is going to be postponed, because I have a cold.
Don’t worry, I can’t pass it to you through the web 😉
So, if you would like to be featured in the August edition, you still can! Visit the Dear Dollies page. That’s all it takes. But make sure to read the page. That’s necessary.
Second, I have another photo story idea! I have a bunch of ideas, so I’ll try to make a post about all of them, and you’ll be able to vote which one I should do next.
Here is a little bit about the one I just came up with.
DSC_0323
It’s about this girl, whose name is TBD.
DSC_0324
She and her family have to move away, but her parents won’t tell her why.
DSC_0325
And this little necklace changes her life.
Forever.
*Cue Pirate’s of the Caribbean them song*
DSC_0326
A runaway dog, being ridden by a runaway Barbie!
DSC_0327
And the most evil Barbie ever.
Changes TBD’s life forever.
Find out the whole story, right here at Happy House of AG.
*music ends*
Fun! What do you think of the ‘trailer?’
Bye!
