You will need:
- Hot glue gun
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Four Popsicle sticks
First, you need to determine how big you want the picture frame to be. I laid the Popsicle sticks out on the floor, measured with a ruler, and used the pencil to mark where I wanted to cut. Cut off the curved ends, but keep the ones from the longest sides.
I wanted mine to be 3″ 1/4 by 4″.
Hot glue the Popsicle sticks together, keeping them as straight as possible. You don’t want a crooked frame!
Now we have to make the frame stand up (of course, you could always attach it to the wall and skip this part). Take the rounded leftovers from the 4″ sticks. Put a strip of glue 1″ 3/4 down the sides of the frame and press the sticks into them. Hold them there until the glue dries.
On stiff paper, print out a photo of your doll that’s as big as the opening in the frame (my picture was 2″ 1/2 by 2″). Cut it out and slide it into the frame, sticking the edges into the slits between the Popsicle sticks.
And you’re done!
If you want to add a little color to your frame, paint it or use decorative tape.
Did you make a picture frame for your dolls? I’d love to see! Email me a picture at happyhouseofag@gmail.com.

I love this craft idea. It seems easy and quick enough. I will definitely try it during the summer.

Loren I have a question, how do you get you your dolls eyes to close when there standing up? And why do they look like half there eyebrow looks gone? I would appreciate if you would answer so you can enlighten me!!

Hey, Ryan, I know you asked Loren, but-
All you need to do is tuck a little part of their eyelashes into the bottom of their eye. That’s why it looks like it’s missing, but it’s holding the eye closed. Hope this helped!!

What you do is you close their eye and tuck a few eyelashes into their eye “sockets” then they should stay closed. Sometimes their eyelashes look partially gone because enough eyelashes are stuck in that you can notice them missing; if you are careful then you should be able to avoid that.
