GOTY 2017 Debut

Hey, guys!

The GOTY debut was a lot of fun. I drove up to D.C. with my dad, walked around the store for quite a long time, made fun of the sets I didn’t like . . . I also got to meet Izzy from Sew Sweet Dollies (a private blog). Getting to meet you was amazing, Izzy! You’re also incredibly cute.

If anyone is wondering, I don’t know what the free debut gift is. I didn’t get one, and I don’t even know if there was one this year. Does anyone know?

Anyway, here are my pictures from the store.

Gabriela McBride

The new Girl of the Year, Gabriela McBride. I like her pants and shoes.

The AG community has been requesting an African-American GOTY for quite some time, and I’m glad our wish was finally granted. Maybe I’m being picky, but I would have liked Gabriela a lot more if there was something more unique about her. She looks just like the African-American Truly Me dolls. If American Girl had given her a feature that made her stand out, I would have considered buying her.

They gave her box a completely new style . . . interesting.

So Gabriela is into the arts, right? Dancing, painting, music, poetry. That’s cool and all (I freaking love the arts), but didn’t we just have a dancer GOTY in 2014? And isn’t Melody a singer? I guess AG has been running low on GOTY ideas.

Hi!

We’re going to be leaving soon and expect to arrive around twelve. I just thought I’d update you guys on what’s happening.

Hmm . . . where to start?

Nevaeh is the lucky doll that gets to come with me. I don’t believe she’s ever been to the store before.

I’m going with my dad, a muscular bald dude with a beard. He might look a bit scary, but he teaches Sunday School to second graders, and he’s really nice. If anyone sees us at the store, don’t be afraid to approach us, please!

It’s probably a good idea to post a picture of what I’m wearing, so here you go. ☺

I’m Going to Lea Clark’s Debut!

Yep — I’m going to be at the American Girl Place D.C. tomorrow for Lea Clark’s debut. My dad is taking me, and we’re going to arrive at the store around 10:30.

I’m going to be wearing a black T-shirt with my blog’s header on the back. Just so you know, I have brown hair that goes about an inch past my shoulders, side bangs, and gray-blue eyes.

Are any of you going to the D.C. store tomorrow (January 1st)? If you’re going to be there, please tell me in the comments — I’d love to meet you! Don’t be afraid to say hello to me if you see me there.

And, yes, I am going to get Lea Clark.

I’m extremely excited . . . not only will I be getting the new Girl of the Year, but I have a chance to meet some of my fabulous readers!

A Quick Update

Kelsie and I going to leave for the AG store soon!! So excited!!

Well, I’m bringing Savannah:

That’s what she’s wearing, and that’s what Kelsie’s doll Marie-Grace is wearing. One of my other friends, Issy, is coming too. I bet she’ll bring her Isabelle doll. And Kelly (dollsdomain) can’t come because of the snow.

I can’t post a picture of what I’m wearing, because I’m wearing it! :P But I’m wearing jeggings, boots, a gray and white striped sweater, and a mint Gap sweatshirt.

We’ll get to the AG store at about 1. OK, hope to see some of you there!

American Girl Place Photos

Greetings! As the lovely Madison of Delightful World of Dolls says, Merry Christmas Adam! ‘Cause Adam came before Eve, ya know?

When I went with my dad to the American Girl Place in D.C. last month, I took some photos for you all. It’s not a lot, but whatever :p Oh, and these pictures aren’t the best quality because I was using my mom’s small camera.

This was driving me crazy the whole time we were at the store — the dolls dressed in the cheerleader outfits had little star stickers on their faces.
